Objective Opinions – Chief Turch

Tidings from the Windlord! Today I write the next installment of my Objective Opinions series, which analyzes the last objective-ally to appear in the Ring-maker cycle: Chief Turch himself. He appears in the The Antlered Crown adventure pack on our side, but actually begins as an enemy – rather, the “boss” enemy – in The Dunland Trap. This makes for quite an interesting character arc; let us not delay in dissecting it!

Objective Opinions – Nalir

Mae govannen! In this installment of Objective Opinions, I will discuss the relevance and merit of the first Dwarven objective-ally to appear in The Lord of the Rings: The Living Card Game: Nalìr, who appears in both the Trouble in Tharbad and The Nîn-in-Eilph adventure packs.

Objective Opinions: Grima Wormtongue

Greetings from the Windlord! Forgive my extended absence; the duties of governing a kingdom have caught up with me. Welcome to the next installment in the Objective Opinions series in which I delve into the secrets of one of the most fascinating characters in The Lord of the Rings and an objective ally in The Voice of Isengard: Grìma!

From the Windlord’s Eyrie: Objective Opinions – Faramir!

Tidings from the Windlord! Today I return to my objective-ally review series to evaluate the last objective ally to appear in the Against the Shadow cycle: the renowned Faramir himself! While the character plays an integral role throughout the tale, he is released as an objective-ally only in the fifth adventure pack of the series, The Blood of Gondor.

From the Windlord’s Eyrie: Deck Tech – Wielders of the Three

Tidings from the Windlord! It has been many moons since I posted a deck list, and I felt it was time to take a short hiatus from my Objective Opinions series. Thus, I built the deck that I have been waiting for since I first tore open my Core Set with my talons: Wielders of the Three. “Three” here refers to the three Rings of Power gifted to the Elves: Narya, Nenya, and Vilya. These belong to Gandalf (who received as a gift from Cirdain, its original wielder), Galadriel, and Elrond, respectively; these characters function as the heroes of this deck. Let us delve deeper!

From the Windlord’s Eyrie: Objective Opinions – Lord Alceron

Mae govannen! This next installment of my review series deals with the first FFG-created objective-ally to have a thorough back story: Lord Alcaron of Gondor. He appears in the adventure packs Encounter at Amon Dîn and Blood of Gondor of the Against the Shadow cycle, though he plays an imperative role in the entire story (warning: spoilers ahead!)

From the Windlord’s Eyrie: Objective Opinions – Celador and Ithilien Guardian

Greetings from the Windlord! Today I shall deviate from my usual routine and combine two objective-allies into one article: Celador and the Ithilien Guardian, both of which appear in the Into Ithilien scenario of Heirs of Nùmenor.
